(May 10, 2008)--President Bush used his weekly radio address Saturday to thank mothers everywhere, and to extend condolences to those who are grieving for sons or daughters killed in war.
The president also offered his sympathies to the "the children who have lost a mother in uniform."
The president is with his mother, former first lady Barbara Bush, Saturday in Central Texas for the wedding of his daughter Jenna.
The president says he has been blessed by a mother who "is a source of unconditional love."
He also offered special words for new mothers and women parenting adopted children, wishing new parents "many happy Mother's Days to come."
