(May 11, 2008)—How much is mom’s work worth--about $117,000 a year, according to a study from Salary.com.

The study calculated mom's market value by studying pay levels for 10 different job titles.

The mom-like jobs include housekeeper, day care center teacher, van driver, psychologist and CEO.

The study also figures in plenty of overtime pay, but even $100,000-plus sounds a little low to fulltime mom Samantha Russell of Fremont, N.H.

The former pastry chef says cleaning up after two young boys is a lot of work and not much fun.
