(May 12, 2008)--Gospel singer-songwriter Joyce "Dottie" Rambo died early Sunday when the bus she was in ran off a road in southwest Missouri and struck an embankment.

She was on her way to a Mother's Day performance in North Richland Hills, according to her Web site.

Rambo was inducted to the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2007.

Rambo has had more than 2,500 published songs, including gospel classics such as "He Looked Beyond My Fault and Saw My Need" and the 1982 Gospel Music Association Song of the Year, "We Shall Behold Him."

Glad It's Over, Please pay attention to your post. This article is about the loss of a great gospel singer, not about the Bush wedding........ugh!

What a terrible accident that claimed the life of such a beloved singer.

A source close to Dottie told me Sunday that she had passed away because of a tornodo that swept across their path, detroying the tour bus while they were on the way to Texas. I've been looking for a story about it since I learned of the terrible tragity. Also, please pray for the rest of the crew members and the tour bus driver. Many are still clinging to life in the I.C.U. God bless her family and friends as they suffer through this difficult time. Just take comfort in knowing we will see her again!

She blessed everyone with her talent of singing and writing God-given songs. She will be missed on earth but I am sure she is singing in that heavenly choir by now. May God bless and be with all of her family.

Thank goodness the Bush wedding is over. Nothing like having planes overhead all day long. Bet Salado was surprised. It's a good thing they didn't try to have the rehersal dinner in Waco. No place fit to eat any more. Be glad when they all move to Dallas
