By: Paul J. Gately Email

MILFORD (January 28, 2013)—An Arlington woman was killed Saturday night when the car she was riding in was involved in a crash on a rural Hill County roadway.

Department of Public Safety trooper Don Mills reported Misty Seaton, 35, died at the scene just after 11:15 p.m. Saturday along U.S. Highway 77 some 6 miles south of Milford.

Seaton was a passenger in a 2006 Hyundai driven by Zack Ellis, 25, of Milford, who suffered minor injuries, the trooper reported.

Trooper Mills said the Hyundai was southbound on U.S. 77 when the driver failed to negotiate a curve in the road and the car careened into a roadside ditch and struck a grove of trees.

Mills reported the roadway was wet and there was fog in the area when the accident happened.

Ellis was wearing a seat belt, Seaton was not, the trooper reported.

Seaton’s body was taken to Marshall and Marshall Funeral Home, in Hillsboro, where arrangements were pending.
