(May 14, 2008)--FBI agents removed numerous boxes of city records from Lubbock City Hall but an agency spokesman declined to comment on why.
Lubbock City Attorney Anita Burgess said in a statement Wednesday that agents served a search warrant and that the city was cooperating.
A KCBD television crew on Wednesday saw "boxes and boxes of records being carted out of city hall," according to an e-mail from the station.
FBI spokesman Mark White declined to comment but confirmed agents were at city hall.
U.S. Attorney’s Office spokeswoman Kathy Colvin declined to comment.
