(May 20, 2008)--Houston police discovered a body in a closet after neighbors reported a foul odor and blood leaking through the ceiling of their apartment.

A police official says officers found the body Monday night.

The official says investigators believe the man had been dead for at least a few weeks.

The man's identity was not immediately available.

The Harris County Medical Examiner's Office is performing an autopsy to determine the cause of the man’s death.

It's sad that no one noticed this person for this long regardless of what happened. Crime can be anywhere, its not the town, its the people who commit the crimes. This country is in the biggest mess, with high gas prices, everything has gone up but the paychecks.

Anonymous. You choose to assume it was murder even though there is no mention of foul play or murder in the story. Of course, I am aware that it is highly likely that it was foul play. I simply, and sarcastically, pointed out that you do not know, for a fact, that it was murder. As for the retard comment, I can only assume, as you take liberty to do, that you were referring to someone in particular. I'm guessing by your lack of capitalization and proper punctuation, you are including yourself? Just an assumption, I could be wrong.

Who would go in their closet to commit suicide though?? That's messed up. I'll be interested to see what they find out with the autopsy. And was NOBODY missing this person?? How sad.

I would like to say to the anonymous reader that i don't believe you should pinpoint Waco and Houston as dirty towns, crime is everywhere i believe life and times are just hard for all people and the way the desperate deal with it life i mean to survive is to rob and kill, it's not a Houston thing or a Waco thing it's a nation wide problem killing commiting suicide or whaterver the case may be. we need to pray for our country and our leaders that they make the right decisions concerning our economy and maybe we as a country can get back on track

houston and waco two dirty towns

Anonymous has already determined it was murder. Could have been suicide, or a really bad case of hemorrhoids. I guess that's why they're wasting their time with an autopsy.

That's when you know it's time to move, when it is raining blood. Question, who would be responsible for the carpet cleaning?

Awww, I wonder if the murdered man had any family? People these days are all about stealing & killing what ever happened to the kind who worked for a living?
