WACO (February 13, 2013)—A Wednesday morning two-vehicle accident sent one man to a local hospital and left an Interstate 35 access ramp closed.

Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said at about 7:30 a.m. one vehicle was parked on the shoulder on the northbound side near the 335-A exit when another vehicle swerved into the shoulder and struck the parked vehicle.

The driver of the parked vehicle was taken by ambulance to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center with what police at the scene said were minor injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

The exit ramp at 335-A was closed while crews cleared debris from the roadway but traffic on the main lanes of the Interstate was not disrupted.
