TEMPLE (February 13, 2013)—A Cameron man was being held Wednesday in the Bell County Jail after Temple police arrested him on a Rockdale warrant charging aggravated robbery.

Tyrone Dewayne Blaylock, 26, was in custody and awaiting bond showing pending charges of aggravated robbery and was held on a blue warrant for a probation violation, according to the Bell County Jail log.

Rockdale police Lt. J.D. Newlin said on Nov. 21, 2012, two men, one armed with a handgun, entered a residence in the 800 block of North Ackerman Street intending to steal payroll checks.

A woman at the residence told the men the checks were not there but they managed to take what money she had.

No one was injured.

Temple police arrested Blaylock just after 2 p.m. Tuesday after officers of the Special Investigations Unit got a tip that Blaylock was in Temple.

The SIU officers went to the area of town where Blaylock was supposed to be and based upon his description located a suspect and took him into custody without incident, according to Temple police Cpl. Christopher Wilcox.

Rockdale police had earlier arrested Giovanni Miller, 19, who was in custody in the Milam County Jail charged with aggravated robbery without bond and on a surety off bond for robbery with a $15,000 bond.
