(May 20, 2008)--Four employees of a check-cashing company say they were fired after being robbed at gunpoint in the company's stores and they have filed suit in District Court in Denver, Colo. claiming Dallas-based Ace Cash Express Inc. fired them for not following safety procedures during the robberies at three Denver stores between November and January.

The lawsuit says the robbers threatened to kill the employees if they followed a company directive to trigger an alarm.

They also say the company had trained them to cooperate with robbers if they were held up, and not risk their lives.

Ace has denied wrongdoing and said it will fight the lawsuit.

The plaintiffs are Ruth Monica Perea, Felicia A. Dia, Desiree M. Lopez and Andre A. Robledo.

I gurantee if the owner of the business were put in the employees position they would have acted just as the employees did. I hope these four women win big!

Greed, pure greed on both sides of the table ! The robber takes the money, the employer "lost" money and considered their employees a liability . Pure ....you know what !!!! I hope the four former employees win their lawsuit. God Bless !

I know I would have been a cussing, fussing, fool if I would have gotten fired after I got robbed. Kinda reminds you of the movie Set It Off!
