Central Texas Man Calls 911 Fifteen Times—For A Taxi Save Email Print

A | A | A

(May 20, 2008)—A 25-year-old Hillsboro man was in the McLennan County Jail Tuesday after a man called 911 at least 15 times in an attempt to summon a cab that Waco police say he didn’t have the money to pay for.

The man was reportedly frustrated that he couldn’t get a cab, and kept calling the emergency number, despite a dispatcher’s admonition that he should be calling a cab company, not 911.

The man was taken to a local hospital after he told an officer he had used methamphetamine.
