Toddler Pulled From Central Texas Stock Pond Dies

WACO (February 26, 2013)—An 18-month-old boy who was pulled from a stock pond Sunday afternoon in rural Falls County has died at a local hospital.

The cause of death was drowning, authorities said Tuesday.

The boy, whose name was not released, was flown Sunday afternoon to Scott & White Children’s Hospital, in Temple, after deputies found him unresponsive following what was described as a fall into the pond in western Falls County near the Durango community on Farm-to-Market Road 935.

An autopsy was ordered.
