WACO (February 25, 2013)—Bradley Devon Froman, 22, was sentenced to five years in prison Monday after he pleaded guilty to a manslaughter charge in the January 2009 shooting death of his teenage cousin.

Michael Lynn Hargrove was 16 when he died.

The incident occurred at around 1 a.m. on Jan. 3, 2009 at a residence on Timber Creek Road in the Lacy-Lakeview area.

Justice of the Peace David Pareya pronounced Hargrove dead at the scene.

Hargrove and some other teenagers were out in a barn at the time of the shooting, a resident said.

Froman was arrested at the scene.
