(May 28, 2008)—A body pulled from a creek Tuesday may be that of a college student who has been missing since early February, police in Vermont say.

Nicholas Garza, 19, vanished on Feb. 5 after heading back to his dorm after visiting another dormitory on the campus of Middlebury College.

Police found the badly decomposed remains late Tuesday afternoon as they were preparing to launch another large-scale search.

An autopsy was scheduled to be performed Wednesday and should confirm the identity.
