(June 3, 2008)--A state agency has ordered a Lufkin dialysis clinic to remain closed until further notice.
The Texas Department of State Health Services says Davita Lufkin Dialysis Center must have state approval before it reopens.
A letter from the department outlines extensive corrective action that the state requires before it allows the clinic to reopen.
The letter requires a so-called level 3 corrective action plan of the center, which department spokeswoman Carrie Williams says is the most severe remedy DSHS can require.
A 34-year-old former dialysis center nurse is free on bond after she was accused of injecting bleach into two of the center's patients.
Kimberly Clark Saenz is charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
