A military jury at Fort Bliss Friday acquitted an Army sergeant of all charges that he abused a detainee in Afghanistan.

Sgt. Duane M. Grubb is with the Cincinnati-based 377th Military Police Company.

Grubb is the third soldier from the unit to be cleared on charges of striking and otherwise abusing detainees in Bagram, Afghanistan.

The all-male jury of four officers and four enlisted men deliberated for about half-an hour before finding Grubb innocent.

Grubb's lawyer earlier said that testimony by the government's sole eyewitness, former Spc. Jeremy Callaway, contradicted his own testimony in other related cases.
