“For Sale” Signs More Numerous In One Local Suburb
More “for sale” signs seem to be popping up in one Central Texas suburb, and it’s not just because of the housing slump.

(June 10, 2008)- Residents of the Waco suburb of China Spring, a community that has continued to develop, over the last ten years, are seeing more “for sale” signs in front of homes, these days.
According to Trammel Kelly of Kelly Realtors, homes sales in China Spring have dropped by about 30%, even though several areas are selling newly constructed homes.
Even though the national slump in the housing market may play a factor in the drop, it may take such services as a convenient grocery store and retail businesses to attract homebuyers, some residents say.
High gas prices are putting an extra burden on many who live outside city limits and who have to make costly trips to run simple errands.

I live in the Lakeland Meadows subdivision in WACO where the homes for sale were indicated in the report. This is not China Spring. I am a little confused with what this report is trying to say. At least they did not call it China Springs!
If the neighborhood in the story is Cougar Ridge near Zebs and the intersection of C.S. Road and Wortham Bend Rd. that is Waco, not China Spring. C.S. city limits is a couple of miles on up the road.
