(June 11, 2008)—Carole Laura Jacobs has been charged with injury to the elderly, Robinson police said Wednesday, after paramedics reported that a 70-year-old man had lain unnoticed for hours overnight in the backyard of a foster care facility.

Paramedics were dispatched to the foster care home at 400 S. Old Robinson Rd. around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, where they found the elderly facility resident in the backyard, where he evidently had been lying since the night before.

Because of the man’s condition, paramedics called police, who arrested Jacobs.

She was free on $50,000 bond Wednesday, police said.

The man’s identity and information about his condition was not immediately available.

Police say two other elderly residents were removed from the home as a result of the discovery.

As a mother, I can say that I would not want my child crucified for my mistakes as this girl is being done. God forgives us all. Sin is sin. One sin is no worse than another. Slander, malicious gossip as you are doing is sin. God forgives you too. This girl was not brought up in church as I know you weren't either. She didn't have a mom & dad and a loving home. She had this woman for a mother. She loved her mother even though she was abused by her. This girl has turned out very well considering how she was raised. She has married a local boy. You are hurting him as well as his family with all this unnecessary hatred. She called CPS out of concern for a child. She knew she could loose her friends, but she had been abused and she recognized something in that situation. Maybe it was bad judgement, but it was done for the right reasons. Maybe you too were abused and you don't recognize this as abuse. Let it go! Grow up! Pray for this girl as I will pray for you. Yes, I know all of you.

Many of us remember the elderly Robinson business owner who was conned and stolen from by this woman. She must not be allowed to take advantage of anyone anymore.

I don't think the whole family is being slammed, just the one daughter that was scamming the elderly guy with her mother. She sound great, your right. I would most DEFINITELY want either one of them to care for my parents. I hope where ever the daughter is employed, they keep an eye and I hope they catch wind of this. They have the right to know what her mother did and that apparently their NURSE knew about it!

OH DEAR GOD!!! She's caring for elderly patients....Can you let us all know where so that we can keep our parents safe! And the compasion you speak of must have JUST arrived because I never saw it....Do you work with her and see her daily with these elderly patients that she is so very in love with? If not, then you are simply going by what you have been told or what she is telling you! I KNOW HOW SHE HAS BEEN! FIRST HAND! And it is a frightening frightening thought that she is in the same profession as her mother...Responsible for the care of the elderly...And as far as it's not fair to the family - there is ALOT of things that this family has done that have not been FAIR

this same daughter that you all are referring to in such a negetive manner is now a very compassionate nurse caring for the elderly. she truly has a love for her elderly patients. let's keep it to facts and not slam the entire family, that's not fair to the family!

Sounds like to me that alot of people in the community knew about her and what she was doing and did nothing for the elderly. Some one in that area needs to call Aps has investigated before. Unless community speaks she will be back in busineess Someone needs to call APS in Austin..

I would also like to add that the CPS call was completly unwarranted and was no more that just vindictiveness and evil....BIG suprise when you see where they come from!! All I can say is I "HOPE" (ha ha) that they never have to have cps come and look at their children and make false accusations...That would be a REAL shame

Hmmm! And her daughter was making complaints to CPS on other people? Was this the same daughter who once bragged to classmates at Robinson High how she and mom were ripping off an elderly sr. citizen?

This woman preyed on an elderly family member of mine many years ago and tried to con him out of his retirement savings and his home. Maybe justice will finally be served!!

Hmmm...and her daughter was busy making vicious calls to CPS on other people. Looks like she should have been more concerned about the real victims... her mother's. I would hate to think I had to spend my last days in her care!!

Another case of a foster guardian who is probably in it for the money. How much o the money she wwas receiving actually went on the residents and how much did she pocket. People like his make me sick. It goes on more than what we know it does.

This place needs to be shut down and the patients moved to a safer home. This is UNACCEPTABLE and this woman should not be free on bond!
