(June 12, 2008)—Copperas Cove police released surveillance photos Thursday of a man they think is responsible for two convenience store robberies in May and who Killeen police think is responsible for two hold-ups in their city, as well.
The robber first struck on May 22, when he robbed the Texaco at 2411 E. Highway 190 around 10:50 p.m.
The man, who was white, was wearing a camouflage hat, sunglasses and a blue shirt produced a small silver handgun and demanded money before fleeing on foot.
He struck again around 11:15 p.m. a week later, on May 29, at the Mickey’s convenience store at 1306 Georgetown Rd.
This time he was wearing a white cap, a white-striped shirt and jeans.
He again produced a small silver handgun, demanded cash and fled on foot.
Killeen police said Thursday they think the same man robbed a 7-Eleven store early Monday morning at 1000 W. S. Young Drive.
In the most recent hold-up, the robber, who was white, about 5-foot-6 and in his late 20s, produced a gun and demanded cash.
He fled on foot.
Police said he was wearing sunglasses, a ball cap, a white shirt and jeans.
Killeen police think he’s also responsible for a hold-up on May 28 at the Valero store at 1104 W. Rancier.
