Tent Goes Up At Camp Casey II
Just in case there was any doubt about the return of anti-war protesters to Central Texas, the tent went up Thursday at Camp Casey II.

The tent went up at Camp Casey II where anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan and some of her supporters are expected to spend the week next week.
Sheehan is the Vacaville, Calif. woman who camped out in August along a rural Central Texas roadside, demanding a meeting with the President about the death of her 24-year-old-son Casey, a 1st Cavalry Division soldier who was killed in Iraq in 2002.
Sheehan never got the meeting, but her vigil attracted international media attention and generated more than a little controversy.
As a result of the protest, McLennan County Commissioners passed ordinances banning roadside camping and extending parking restrictions in the area of the President’s ranch.
The camping ban won’t affect the protest, because Camp Casey II is on private land rather than the public right-of-way.
But the parking restrictions could create some headaches for Sheehan and her supporters.
The President and his family are expected to spend the Thanksgiving holiday at the Bush ranch near Crawford.
