(June 14, 2008)—An autopsy has been ordered after a one-car accident that claimed the life of a 26-year-old Lampasas Woman.
Amanda Lanier died early Friday morning after her 2006 Chevrolet Impala veered off U.S. 190, plunged down an embankment, and crashed through a fence and into a clump of trees.
A witness told investigators Lanier was slumped over the steering wheel before the car veered off the highway.
The accident happened around 6:45 a.m. Friday about four miles east of Lampasas.
Lanier was pronounced dead at the scene about an hour later.
She was not wearing a seatbelt.
