WEST (April 13, 2013)—Two truck tractor, semi-trailers and a passenger vehicle collided at mile marker 353 in West and the accident forced state troopers to close both southbound lanes of the interstate.
A Department of Public Safety communications officer in Waco said the accident happened at about 7 a.m. but she had no details of how.
The lanes remained closed as late as 9 a.m.
It was known two 18-wheelers and a passenger vehicle collided in the main lanes of the highway and the debris left on the roadway forced troopers to divert all southbound traffic onto the access road.
Rescue personnel and at least one ambulance were sent to the scene but there was no word on injuries.
