MEXIA (April 13, 2013)—A Mexia woman died and four other people were injured Thursday in a Limestone County two-vehicle wreck.
A Department of Public Safety trooper said Monique Florence Primm, 21, of Mexia, died at the scene at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
The DPS investigator said Primm was a passenger in a 2003 Daewoo that was driving east on Limestone County Road 496 when it collided with a 2001 Dodge pick up truck.
A 24-year-old Mexia man who was driving the Daewoo and another woman, 21, who also was a passenger, both were taken by ambulance to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, in Waco, for treatment of what the trooper called non-life threatening injuries.
An eight-month-old child who also was a passenger in the car was taken by ambulance to Scott and White’s McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple for treatment, as well.
A 17-year-old man who was driving the Dodge was taken by ambulance to Groesbeck’s Limestone Medical Center for treatment and evaluation.
A Limestone County Justice of the Peace pronounced Primm dead at the scene and ordered her body taken to Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home but did not order an autopsy, a DPS spokesman said.
