Cheney Scheduled To Headline DeLay Fundraiser Monday
Vice President Dick Cheney is scheduled to headline a fundraiser for embattled Texas Congressman Tom DeLay Monday.

Vice President Dick Cheney is scheduled to headline a GOP fundraiser for embattled Texas Congressman Tom DeLay Monday in Houston.
The event had been planned for September, but was delayed because of Hurricane Rita.
Top-dollar tickets reportedly sold for $4,200 and those who pay the price will get a spot in a VIP reception and a photo with the Vice President.
DeLay stepped down as U.S. House Majority Leader after he was indicted for money laundering and conspiracy in connection with what prosecutors say was a plan to funnel corporate money to Republican statehouse candidates in 2002.
Former Congressman Nick Lampson is seeking the Democrat nomination to run against DeLay in 2006.
