(June 23, 2008)—Searchers were looking again Monday for a woman who was thrown from a horse and into a swollen mountain creek Friday at a Colorado resort.

Mary Brake, 56, of Lincoln, Neb. was riding with her family to a restaurant when her horse stumbled and pitched her into swift-moving Beaver Creek, which is swollen with snowmelt.

Other family members were unable to save her.

Authorities say there’s no evidence Brake survived.

Her 9-year-old daughter, Bayley, witnessed the accident, authorities said.
