LOTT (May 16, 2013)—Some 28 homes were without power in Lott Thursday morning in the aftermath of a thunderstorm system that rolled through Central Texas overnight.
Willie Leos, office manager for Oncor in Temple, said Thursday morning there were scattered outages in McLennan and Falls counties that left some 75 customers without power.
Leos said Oncor was assessing the situation early Thursday and would dispatch crews to repair lines and power poles just as soon as those locations were pinpointed.
Leos could not provide a timeline for restoration of power.
The largest concentration of outage was in Waco and Hewitt, according to Oncor’s online outage map.
Tornadoes may have touched down in both Mills and Hamilton Counties Wednesday night and the storm produced large hail in several counties.
In Covington in Hill County, 1.75 inch hail was reported Wednesday night.
Earlier Wednesday night, 1.75 inch hail was reported in Hamilton and in Priddy in Mills County and elsewhere in Mills County, hail as large as 2.75 inches was reported.
A 60-mile-an-hour wind gust was recorded in Hamilton County.
