WEST (May 17, 2013)-West police arrested a man at a local bar Thursday night after other patrons there reported he pulled a gun on them and later started shooting.
Jon Cody Castro, 27, had posted a $3,000 bond and was released from the McLennan County Jail Friday morning after he was charged with making a terroristic threat.
The gun turned out to be an air soft pellet pistol so no one was seriously hurt, but the weapon landed the man in jail anyway.
Police were called at about midnight to Wolf's Sports Bar, on East Oak Street, where they encountered a group of people who said a man had gotten into an argument inside the bar that moved outside and quickly escalated into a fight.
The man left the bar, but a short time later came back with a handgun and started pointing it at people.
The armed man left the parking lot and drove around the bar several times shooting at people.
It was not clear if anyone actually was hit by the pellets.
Police found the gunman when they arrived and arrested him, then took him to the McLennan County Jail where Friday morning he was facing a four-count charge of aggravated assault.
Police at the scene said no one was seriously injured.
