Services Scheduled For Prominent Central Texas Attorney
Funeral services will be Friday for longtime Waco civic leader and attorney Lyndon Olson, Sr.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Central Presbyterian Church in Woodway for longtime Waco civic leader and attorney Lyndon Olson, Sr.

Olson died Tuesday morning. He was 80.

Olson was born on Jan. 22 1925 in Waco.

He was a Waco High School graduate who earned a law degree from Baylor University after serving in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He served as Waco city attorney and on the Waco School Board for 12 years.

He also served on the Board of Directors of the Brazos River Authority and as president of the Waco-McLennan County Bar Association and the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce.

Olson is survived by his wife, Francis, and sons Lyndon Olson, Jr., the former U.S. Ambassador to Sweden, and Charles Olson, a Waco attorney who is a past president of the Waco School Board.
