(June 26, 2008)--Whitney Nicole Salinas, 21, was already in the Bell County Jail when authorities served her this week with an arrest warrant charging burglary of a habitation.

Salinas was arrested on June 10 for misdemeanor possession of marijuana after Killeen police officers stopped a vehicle linked to a fight involving weapons in the 1400 block of Lowes Boulevard.

A search of the vehicle turned up a small quantity of marijuana as well as an antique mirror, several rare coins and some checkbooks inside a large brown purse, police said Thursday.

When officers asked the four occupants of the vehicle whom the purse and its contents belonged to, they said they didn’t know, police said.

Officers later went to the residence of the people named on the checks at 1911 Poage and discovered that the rear door had been kicked in and that the house had been burglarized, police said.

Smith was served Tuesday with the burglary warrant.

Police said Thursday additional arrests are possible.
