(June 26, 2008)—An arrest warrant charging aggravated sexual assault of a child has been issued for former Little River-Academy-area Little League coach William Thomas Jacobsen, 31, in connection with an incident involving one of the players on his former team, the Bell County Sheriff’s Office said late Thursday morning.

Jacobsen, who was also a member of the Little River-Academy Volunteer Fire Department, lives in Rogers, but authorities think he and his wife fled on June 21 and that they may be in the Houston-Galveston area,

The warrant stems from an investigation that started on June 10 when deputies were sent to Scott & White Hospital in response to a report that a youth baseball coach had sexually assaulted a 13-year-old boy.

The boy told investigators the sexual assaults started about a year ago and said the latest occurred in early June.

Investigators have since located at least one other victim, the Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.

Jacobsen was relieved of is coaching duties after deputies advised the Little River-Academy Youth Baseball League about the investigation.

He was also relieved of his duties as a volunteer firefighter, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The Bell County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about the investigation or about Jacobsen’s whereabouts to call (254) 933-5435.

I have a question! When it came to the selection of the jury why did they select only whites and hispanics? no blacks were selected at all. But there have been many cases where there has been a all white jury against a black man. But thats our Justice System for you. BIAS!! But regardless I hope he rots in prison

i believe in an 'eye for an eye'. so if he is gonna do this to a child, they need to put him in a room with 'bubba' and let justice prevail. anyone who harms a child should have the same thing done back to them so they can feel for themselves exactly what they are doing to these babies.

I have talked to this guy several times and he even tried to make friends with my son, but he made the hair on the back of my neck stand up so my son was not allowed anywhere around him. I have found out that there is an e-mail that is going around with some more facts about him & wife. If you get it pass it on. Reguardless of what anyone thinks now the priority should be to help the police find him so that he can't do it to another child & pay for what he has done. The fastest & best way will be for someone who see's him to turn him in. The more his story & picture get out there the more of a chance he will be seen and then caught. When he is caught maybe the other children that he has done this to will come forward. And I'm sure there are more. Noone just wakes up at 30 yrs old and says "ok, I think I like young boys now." The internet can be a wonderful tool. Lets get together and help catch him.

Parents need to be more involved in their children's activities. As a parent myself, I get to know everyone involved in their daily lives. Gone are the days when it was safe to "drop" your kids off at a friends home.

I'm not defending this guy's alleged actions. If he did this, I would gladly assist in his punishment. I am simply saying, all this lynch mob mentality is wrong. A civilized society allows justice to be served. How am I a child-blamer? Just because I still believe in "innocent until proven guilty" and allowing the judicial system to do it's job? In today's society, the mere suggestion of molestation of a child is enough to ruin a person's life. All I'm saying is, wait for all the facts to come in. Of course, some of you know everything so why bother with facts.

Nothing has been said about the employment of this man nor his wife. Did either of them have a paying job? If so, where? If someone doesn't work then they do have too much free time to do their dirty deeds. Hope he and his accomplice (wife) and soon found.

Unfortunately this wouldn't have been caught in a background check if he hasn't been arrested for it already. I want to know if he has kids of his own?? And how sick is she to not only stay with him but to RUN AWAY with him too??? Absolutely disgusting. Makes me glad my husband and I coach our kids. It's so sad, but you just can't trust hardly anyone these days. I hope they catch him and he gets what he deserves in jail, over and over again.

This man has been known to "ply" young boys with alcohol, possibly to make them more willing to molest. I wish I could have 30 minutes with this monster. I would tie him to a fire ant bed, pour honey on him, and let the ants enjoy!

Why would he run if he was not quilty? And his wife is just as bad. Hey Jimmy you any kin to Rachel?

Posted by: I knew they would turn up Location: TX on Jun 27, 2008 at 07:53 AM
I wondered how long it would take for the child blamers to show up. Hey Jimmy, waiting for a court to decide would be a good thing if he was arrested. Instead he was given the freedon to do it again and then run away.

Posted by: Jimmy Location: Belton on Jun 27, 2008 at 05:55 AM
What ever happened to "innocent until proven guilty"? I'm not saying he is innocent, but shouldn't that be something we let a court decide?

Death penalty would be good in this case.

Very Scary....I met him a couple of weeks after school was out. He was walking the neighborhood and recognized my son from school...he was there when they took the firetruck for fire prevention week to the elementary. He told me that he really enjoyed that...that all the kids were excited to see the firetruck. Scary to think that someone like him would have access to our children. My son also plays baseball, a league under the one he coached and it just makes me sick that he was able to fool everyone. And I agree...anyone who has contact with children should have to have a background check. And I also agree that he should have been arrested immediately....

As a family member (by marriage)... if this guy shows up on my doorstep god help him if the police shows up after I do because everyone here knows to call me and if that if I show up before the LEOs do we’ll be talking about a dead man. Doesn't hurt that I work a couple blocks away from where I live. ~Rebus

should have arrested this man june 10th, now look, hes gone off to get some other boys!! Don't ever trust anyone with your kid.

Scary thought! I think everyone that has any contact with our children should have a background check! Maybe even a psych check! You can't trust anyone these days! People like this should be put to death! What is going to happen to our young people in the future with all of this stuff happening to them. I hope they find him AND his wife since she knew about it, and put him in jail for the rest of their lives!!

Scary, to say the least. I hope if anyone knows this freak they will turn in his wearabouts. I have babies in little league. He needs to be off the streets.Never seen the man before myself. Why did he run-- can't get the death penalty now, right.Come back and they could let you go in a few years so you can do it again. SICKO.

They should have arrested him when it all came about, instead of letting him linger out in the open.
