KILLEEN (August 16, 2013)—One man was injured early Friday morning in a shooting on a Killeen residential street.

Killeen police officers at the scene said just before 4 a.m. a black BMW pulled up to a traffic signal at Jasper and old Farm-to-Market 440 and a small, dark colored pick up truck pulled up on the driver's side.

As both vehicles turned northbound onto Old 440, someone in the truck began shooting at the BMW.

The passenger in the BMW was shot in the leg, police said.

The driver of the BMW turned off Old 440 onto Valentine Drive and that’s where police found the wounded man.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center but his injuries were believed to not be life-threatening.

The driver of the BMW was not injured but the BMW was struck by several bullets.

Police continue to search for the pick up truck but provided no further description.
