WACO (September 13, 2013)—A pregnant woman had to be cut from the wreckage of her SUV Friday morning after a three-vehicle accident in North Waco.
The woman and was trapped inside her vehicle after she collided with two other cars and the SUV rolled onto its side.
There were three children inside the SUV as well.
Police, firefighters and ambulances were sent just after 8 a.m. to the intersection of N. 27th and Alexander streets after callers reported three vehicles had collided at the intersection.
Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to cut the pregnant woman from the overturned Ford Explorer.
The mother and three children were taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation.
The driver of one of the other cars also was injured and was taken to a local hospital with what police called minor injuries.
The third driver was not hurt.
The intersection was closed for a short time while crews removed the vehicles and other debris from the roadway.
