Mexicans Protest Border Fence By Planting Trees
Mexicans are mounting a huge protest against the U.S. border fence by planting hundreds of thousands of trees.

(June 28, 2008)—Mexicans are planting the first of 400,000 trees in northern Mexico to form a "green wall" along the border as a protest against the huge fence the U.S. is building along the border.

The tree line will eventually stretch for 318 miles along the border between Mexico and Texas.

The governor of the Mexican border state says the trees will be a "wall of life" in contrast to what he says is the U.S. wall of "shame and hate."

Washington says the border fence is critical to U.S. security, but critics say it fuels animosity between the two countries and raises environmental and private property concerns.

The mayor of a Texas border town attended Friday's tree planting in the town of Piedras Negras.

Eagle Pass Mayor Chad Foster opposes the construction of 670 miles of border fence.

Kristy honey, if you love Mexico so much, move there. Just please do it the right way... I know you would hate to be considered an "illegal alien"... but since there are many ways of moving to mexico legally, you shouldn't have a problem.

Get some professional help please...you are plain ignorant and its quite funny. Sweety, if you love Mexico then please go live there! Dont call Americans losers, the losers are the deadbeat illgal people that come here and steal from our SS funds, dont pay taxes, and pile 88 people to one house!!! Its not responsible to be an illegal citizen now is it? You are not a real American are you? Ill bet you come from Mexico yourself dont you? I dont beleive we as Americans are losers for criticizing the people that come here and steal from our economy and bring all of thier crime with them as well...not to mention a thousand other things...all these supposed "honest, responsible, and smart people"...there is nothing honest about them you lune!!! You are just upset because you know we who disagree are right!
