WACO (September 24, 2013)-Three people were arrested and a load of stolen property was recovered Tuesday morning, which Waco police say may clear up between 10 and 15 business burglaries.
Officers were sent to the Sandman Motel, at 3820 Franklin Avenue, after a report of the discovery of a Chevrolet Suburban that was reported stolen Monday morning from an auto repair shop.
Officers confirmed that the Suburban was the same one that was taken from Texas Star Auto Repair and began investigating.
Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said officers and detectives recovered a list of items, including radiators and other automotive parts, that had been reported stolen over the past several days.
Stephanie Martin, 36, Christopher Cornett, 36, and Curtis Fields, 44, all held in the McLennan County Jail Wednesday where each was held on bonds totaling $10,000.
All three were charged with engaging in organized criminal activity.
Cornett also was charged with theft and both Martin and Fields were charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Swanton said much of the recovered property was returned to the owners but some remained in the police property room.
