(June 30, 2008)—Police Monday released the names of the victims of an early-morning accident Sunday in Killeen that left two dead and one injured.
Xantavia Phillips, 23, whom police identified as a Fort Hood soldier, and Leslie Spear, 23, of Coppell died in the collision around 3:45 a.m. Sunday on Highway 190 about one mile east of the Clear Creek Exit, police said.
The two drivers were taken to Carl Darnall Army Medical Center at Fort Hood where they were both pronounced dead around 6:15 a.m. Sunday.
Amanda Elmore, 22, of Temple was taken to Scott & White Hospital in Temple with what the Department of Public Safety said were serious injuries.
Information about her condition was not available.
Phillips was westbound on Highway 190 in a 2003 Cadillac DeVille when it collided head on with Spear’s 2005 Ford Mustang, which the DPS said appeared to have been headed east in the westbound lane.

Becky and Jami..I am so sorry for the loss of Amanda. I wish that we got to know each other alittle better..because life is so short. Out of respect for my Uncle Doug and for my cousin Jami...my Mother KARLA would never abuse this page and she does not have an IQ of a 4th Grader...anyone making inappropriate comments on this page is very immature. I DO NOT care what happened in the past Amanda was still my cousin and still the daughter of my Uncle and in no way should anyone be disrespectful....my uncle is going through the struggle of his life right now...he lost his mother and daughter within a year and is battling cancer, I ask that all of this nonsense stop! I will continue to pray that God give all the families involved the strength to continue to live and remember the great memories they have of their loved ones. My mother never once disrespected someone in anyway..we will all continue to love Jami and Amanda regardless if others think it is our place or not!

I will not agrue with you. So let me leave you with this. Yes, I was 'there' the last time Amanda was in the hospital. I even organized a blood drive for her. I think you might be just a little too big for your britches. I probably know more than you think I do! You don't know me, just as I don't know you....so this all really just needs to stop. Why is it you want to agrue with everyone and even tell people to email you if they have 'comments'? Yet you posted 3 entries containing only rambling thoughts. Maybe you need some help for anger management.
