WACO (October 10, 2013)—Two women and a man had to be cut from the wreckage of a Cadillac Thursday morning after the car crashed and overturned on an Interstate 35 access road in Waco.
The accident, reported at about 5:55 a.m., closed the access ramp onto Interstate 35 southbound near the 330-mile marker, right in front of Don Carlos Restaurant.
Waco police, fire and EMS units were sent to the scene where the first unit reported three people were trapped in the wreckage of an overturned Cadillac.
Firefighters had to cut the roof of the car away to be able to get the passengers out.
One of the rescuers at the scene said a 70-year-old woman, a 66-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man were taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center for evaluation but none was seriously injured.
There were no other vehicles involved.
The southbound on ramp to Interstate 35 remained closed at 6:30 while crews removed debris from the highway.
