TEMPLE (October 22, 2013)—Temple police were looking for a gunman Tuesday who fired several gunshots into a home that left another man suffering wounds.
Police were sent just before 11 p.m. Monday to a house in the 300 block of North 6th Street after a caller reported hearing several gunshots, Temple police Cpl. Christopher Wilcox said.
When they arrived the officers found a man who had suffered a gunshot wound while inside the house.
The 58-year-old victim was taken by ambulance to a Temple hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injury, Wilcox said.
Witnesses said just before 11 p.m. a vehicle pulled in front of the house, a man got out and began firing several shots into the house.
The man got back into the vehicle and the driver sped away.
Witnesses described the shooting suspect as a black male about 6-feet-tall and wearing dark clothes, Wilcox said.
Wilcox said the shooting still is under investigation but so far no arrests have been made.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Temple police at 254-298-5431.
