Police Investigate String Of Local Business Burglaries

WACO (November 12, 2013) Waco police on Tuesday morning were investigating a string of three early morning business burglaries they believe could be connected.

Sometime between 3:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. the Sonic Drive-In at 3923 North 19th Street, the Dairy Queen at 4021 N. 19th and the World Finance office at 2414 West Waco Drive all were broken into, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.

Swanton said burglars entered all three businesses after they disabled the burglar alarms and smashed in front doors.

All three businesses were closed at the time of the break-ins, Swanton said.

Swanton said detectives are investigating all three incidents and believe they could be related because of the way the businesses were broken into.
