His bond had not been set Tuesday night.

McLennan County Chief Deputy Matt Cawthon said the argument between a man and his girlfriend started early Tuesday morning at a residence at 670 Elmwood Road.

The argument eventually escalated into a fight during which the man beat the woman, and at some point during the fight the woman’s sister got involved.

Then the man grabbed a knife and threatened the women, but when he began beating on them again, the girlfriend was able to grab the weapon and stabbed the man in the upper leg, Cawthon said.

One of the women was also injured and was taken to a local hospital where she was treated and then was later released.

Her name wasn’t released.
