Teenager Killed In Accident On Slick Area Roadway

BELL COUNTY (December 10, 2013) A teenage Belton student died Monday just after noon when the car she was driving skidded off a Bell County highway and crashed into a roadside tree.

Department of Public Safety Trooper Shawn Anderson reported Meagan Passmore, 19, was driving southbound on Old State Highway 95, about 8 miles south of Temple, when she lost control of her 2002 Nissan Altima on a rain-slicked roadway.

The car began to spin out and struck a tree on the side of the road.

Bell County Justice of the Peace David Barfield pronounced Passmore dead at the scene and had her body taken to Temple Mortuary.

Anderson said Passmore was alone in her car when the accident happened.
