WACO (January 30, 2014) A home in North Waco sustained significant damage late Wednesday when fire broke out in the back of the house but no one was injured.
A house next door also was damaged in the blaze but only slightly, a firefighter at the scene said.
Units were sent at about 11 p.m. to the 2100 block of Pine Avenue after a caller reported seeing smoke and flames coming from a neighborhood home.
There were residents inside the house when the fire broke out but it wasn’t clear how many, however all escaped without injury.

Firefighters still were at the scene about two blocks from Reicher High School until after midnight mopping up, an assistant fire chief said.
