NOLANVILLE (February 4, 2014) Firefighters remained at the scene of an early Tuesday morning house fire that significantly damaged a home in Nolanville.
The house on Veteran’s Memorial Boulevard, just west of Nola Ruth, was vacant and no one was injured in the blaze.
Streets near the home were closed for a time just after 3 a.m. while crews battled to bring the blaze under control but traffic had returned to normal by 5:30 a.m.
Investigators remained at the scene trying to determine how the fire started.
When the first units arrived firefighters reported heavy smoke in the area that could be seen from some distance away.
The house that burned is right across the street from Nolanville’s Northside Baptist Church.
