WACO (March 18, 2014) A bull running loose along LaSalle Avenue kept several Waco police officers busy early Tuesday afternoon as they tried to corral the animal.

Officers were eventually able to corner the bull inside a fence near South 3rd Street and Oakwood Avenue, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.

Swanton said he wasn’t sure where the bull came from, but the animal’s owner was on the scene.

A livestock specialist who works with Waco police was on the way to help get the bull into a trailer so it could be taken back to its home, Swanton said.

One witness at the scene said he wasn’t sure if the bull was fully grown but said it was a “large” animal and not in a particularly good mood.
