(March 27, 2006)—There’s a chance of thunderstorms Monday night and Tuesday, but exactly where the heavy rain falls will depend on where an approaching frontal boundary stalls, forecasters say.
The National Weather Service says locally heavy rainfall and some flash flooding are possible, especially in areas south of Interstate 20 overnight.
Heavy rain could continue to fall Tuesday.
Later in the week the potential for severe thunderstorms could increase as a strong level upper storm system and dry line move through the area, especially on Thursday.
Overnight Monday, there’s an 80 percent chance of rain.
Rain chances Tuesday stand at 70 percent, but drop to 40 percent Tuesday night.
