Father Robs Texas Pizza Restaurant Where Daughter Works Save Email Print

A | A | A

(July 15, 2008)--Denton police say they aren't filing charges against a clerk whose parents and husband were charged with robbing the pizza restaurant where she works.

The Denton Record-Chronicle reports police said the clerk, Stephanie Martinez, didn't know they planned to rob the Pizza Patron Friday night.

While the robbery was in progress, Martinez discovered her father was the robber when another clerk struck him, knocking him out and knocking off his wig and sunglasses.

He was later apprehended after witnesses followed the getaway pickup.

Sgt. James Brett said Martinez's husband told them she didn't know about the robbery.

He said the husband knew they were going to commit a robbery, but he thought the target was going to be a convenience store.

Authorities charged 26-year-old Jose Miguel Martinez with aggravated robbery.

He was free on $50,000 bond Tuesday.

Benjamin Ramirez, 41, and Sonia Palacios, 38, are both charged with aggravated robbery.

Their bonds were set at $50,000, but both were ordered held without bond on immigration charges.

I feel sorry for the girl. How embarassing to have to admit that it was your father and husband that tried to rob the store you worked at. Now they are being held without bond because of immigration charges? This story keeps getting better and better.

Build the wall, add gun towers, then fill the Rio Grande with pirhanas, cottonmouths, and gators.

Would have been funnier if the restaurant had been Papa John's (or Juan's). Get it papa...father... When it said it knocked his wig and sunglasses off, I keep picturing a clown wig and those huge sunglasses from the 80s.
