Married Lawyers Found Slain In Bed Save Email Print

A | A | A

(July 17, 2008)—A Brooklyn, N.Y. husband and wife who were both lawyers who specialized in divorce and real estate work have been found shot to death in bed at their home and police are investigating the incident as a double homicide.

The couple’s housekeeper found the bodies Wednesday and called 911.

The victims were identified as 50-year-old Mark Schwartz and his 48-year-old wife, Christina-Maria Petrowski-Schwartz.

Initially police suspected a murder-suicide because both had been shot in the head, but investigators didn’t find a weapon.

Neighbors said the couple had two grown children, neither of whom lived with them.

This seems more like an execution style murder. I would think it has more to do with their line of work. Maybe the wife got all of the money and the jilted husband didn't much care for it and killed the lawyers? Who knows. Only time will tell and they may never know anyway.
