(July 18, 2008)—Temple police are looking for two suspects Friday after a 26-year-old Central Texas man was struck with a pipe and then robbed by two men who first tried to sell him drugs.

The victim, whose name was not released, told police the two men approached him around 6:15 p.m. Thursday in the 700 block of East Houston Avenue.

After attacking him and taking his wallet, the men fled west on Houston, the victim told police.

The two men were black and between the ages of 16 and 20, police said Friday.

One was short and stocky and had dreadlocks.

The other was tall and thin and had short hair.

Both were wearing red shirts, police said.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the Temple Police Department at (254) 298-5500.
