KILLEEN (April 25, 2014) Early reports are that a 3-year-old girl reported missing from McAlester, Oklahoma last evening has been located in Killeen.
Only few details have been provided byt indications are that Rebecca Vieney, 3, who was reported abducted by a non-custodial parent, was found early Friday morning in Killeen at her grandmother's house.
Killeen police spokeswoman Carroll Smith said the matter is being handled as a civil child custody issue.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers and police in McAlester say the child was abducted from the Walmart in McAlester Thursday evening.
Police were concentrating on Central Texas early in the investigation because there was information that her abductor had planned to travel to Killeen.
Details of how the child was found have not yet been made public but it is known the child is safe and unharmed, Smith said.
