The first-year results of the nation’s largest high school steroid-testing program caught only two Texas high school athletes cheating, according to figures released Wednesday.

(July 23, 2008)—The University Interscholastic League released a report Wednesday on the first year of high school steroid testing and it shows that 10,117 public high school athletes in Texas were tested in the debut of the two-year, $6 million program.

UIL spokeswoman Kim Rogers said just two students tested positive.

Rogers said both are multi-sport athletes, but the sports they play are unknown.

The UIL didn't release the names of the students, who according to documents obtained by The Associated Press are a senior and a 10th-grader.

Four tests came back unresolved and three students refused to be tested, according to the report.

Supporters say the tests serve as a deterrent, but critics, including some lawmakers, say the program is an overreaction and waste of taxpayer dollars.

Can you say BS!!!! They obviously did not do any testing in Robinson - or if they did it was the same as it is in our small town the same 2 kids get tested for every "random" drug test and it just happens to be the 2 "clean" kids......
