(July 31, 2008)—Officials with the U.S. government and the University of Texas at Brownsville return to court Thursday in a dispute over where to put a border fence.

The current plan would put the security fence through the campus.

A federal judge in Brownsville will be getting an update on the dispute

Homeland Security is accused of violating an earlier court-approved agreement to study alternatives to a physical barrier that would cut off the school's golf course and land for expansion.

The judge agreed and ordered both sides to get the expertise and authority in the same room to find a solution.

The federal judge is also scheduled to hear 13 land condemnation cases as the government readies the fence's path in Cameron County, Thursday.

Don't forget the cottonmouths, Luke. I've suggested the very same thing to Gov. Perry.

Dave, this wall doesn't even compare in size to the Great Wall of China which did work from 221BC until the 1600's. That's good enough for me.
