BELL COUNTY (June 19, 2014) A Bell County man who pleaded guilty in April to possession of child pornography was sentenced Wednesday to serve federal prison time.

U.S. District Judge Walter S. Smith, Jr., sentenced Kyle Andrew Hauck to serve 97 months in federal prison, to be followed by 5 years on supervised release, ordered him to pay a $1,000 fine and $100 in special assessment to the court.

A provision of the sentence calls for Hauck to serve his time at a Bureau of Prisons facility near Central Texas, court documents show.

Court documents presented at the plea hearing show federal agents found pictures of children engaging in sexual activity on Hauck’s computer.

The computer was seized during a raid on Hauck’s home Bell County home.

Court records show Hauck was arrested after the indictment was handed down in September 2013.

Hauck was released on a $25,000 bond on April 8.
